Meet our team!
Tami Winn and Jamie Lemke are the lead planners of TWE. This dynamic duo has been planning events together for almost 20 years. Tami’s design expertise and Jamie’s detail orientation have proven to be a great combination for flawless execution. Heather Egger heads up the floral production team and is the heart and soul behind the scenes ensuring all set up goes off without a hitch.
My journey in the events industry began when I was 16, working at a flower shop. This eventually led to the creation of Tami Winn Events in 2003. The company started small, operating out of a one-car garage at my parents’ property. However, the business quickly outgrew this space, and we eventually moved into our current office in 2009. In its first year in Fort Worth, TWE organized almost 75 events, marking a successful start. As the company expanded, I brought on team members who played a significant role in building TWE into what it is today. I’ve always been passionate about events, and this passion shines through when I meet new clients. I find joy in creating something out of nothing and transforming spaces. Building relationships with new people is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job, and I could talk about events all day long! Some might describe me as outgoing and passionate, and I absolutely love to laugh and always have fun. Outside of work, we are your typical sports-loving family. My husband Toby and I have been married for almost 25 years and are proud parents to two beautiful daughters. Our oldest daughter Taylor, who is my mini-me, graduated from SFA and is now a nurse at Harris Downtown. Our youngest daughter Tatum has been involved in competitive sports her entire life and is in her freshman year at Concordia University playing soccer. (Yes, we’re all T’s!) My family is my greatest achievement, and I adore being a wife and mom. We enjoy traveling and exploring new places, and some of our most cherished trips have been to Turks and Maui. Personally, I love cooking, savoring a great glass of red wine, reading a new book, and spending time with friends by the pool. In my spare time, you’ll find me dreaming up ideas for weddings or parties, as it truly brings me happiness. I can’t wait to share my passion with you and help create lasting memories.
I have always been passionate about planning and organizing, leading me to choose a career as a wedding planner. Despite initially considering a path in accounting, my desire to work closely with people steered me toward the wedding industry. Having graduated from Baylor University with a marketing degree and a minor in family and consumer sciences, I dedicated myself to fulfilling my dream. I have a compassionate heart to serve others and lead them through the process of planning a wedding. I take pride in utilizing my meticulous attention to detail and 20 years of experience as a certified wedding planner to support my clients. When I started working at Tami Winn Events, Tami and I soon realized how well we complimented each other. Together we became a power packed duo. This collaboration has been instrumental in amplifying our impact. I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support of my husband, Derek. He does a fantastic job being Mr. Mom to our daughters while I am working on the weekends. Balancing work and family are extremely important to me, so in my leisure time I enjoy getting involved with my kids’ school activities and sports, traveling, and hanging out at home watching Hallmark movies while cuddling with our two dogs. I value kindness, commitment, and excellence, and my goal is to exemplify these values throughout my work.
I’m a 44-year-old mother of two children as well as two fur babies. I grew up in Odessa, moved to Waco, and eventually settled in Fort Worth, which I absolutely love! My children are my wildest dreams, my biggest challenges, and what makes me feel alive. My husband, Cecil, and I first met in high school and reconnected in our 40s. Five years ago, he invited me to a concert, and we have been together ever since. He has three adult daughters, whom I happily call my own. I inherited my love for flowers from my granny, my love for production from my papa, my drive from my father, my desire to make people happy from my mom, and my strength from my sister. Without these people, I would not be who I am today. It has been a long journey to get here. I started in the medical field at 18, which I loved, but I knew I wanted more. In 2012, a friend mentioned a weekend job setting up events, and I was intrigued. I love weddings, and the thought of being part of a bride’s special day sounded like something I would enjoy. I persistently asked for 2 years if I could work events, and finally, the call came. Tami Winn Events needed some extra help, and I was asked. I cried with excitement—no joke! I worked almost every event I was needed for. I also bugged Tami to help with anything she needed, including assisting in the design studio or cleaning buckets and mopping. Anything and everything just so I could learn more, absorbing all I could. In 2018, I worked an event with Jamie and mentioned that I was looking to leave the medical field. The very next day, Tami reached out and asked if I would consider working for her full time. I did not even give her time to change her mind before I said YES! So here I am, doing exactly what I love and for a team that I believe in with all my heart. And in my spare time, when the fun of events has ended, I enjoy sitting on my patio talking with neighbors or at my local pub having a cocktail or craft beer. I sit with the love of my life, laughing about what life has taught me, what I still get to learn, and where I plan to travel next. Oh, and if anyone ever asks who I want to be when I grow up, I tell them TAMI WINN!
